Capture was approached by ITV Studios and The Daily Mirror to create a new motion graphic identity for the prime time ITV1 show. Our concept drew influence from the award founders; The Daily Mirror, as we decided to "Mirror" the Union Jack in the glistening chrome contours of the Pride of Britain Awards statuette, as the camera appears to fly over and around it, as if it were the Angel of the North.
Capture created the 15 second opening title sequence all edited to Coldplay’s "Paradise" track. In total Capture created 12 separate pieces of motion graphics and content graphics for HD Broadcast and the live background screens.

Having designed and created a new motion graphic identity for the Pride of Britain Awards in 2012, Capture went about updating some key elements for the 2013 ceremony and nationwide broadcast. The new elements included a completely re-modelled Union Jack 3D flag, made with a photo-real design giving it a more natural, realistic feel. As well as the flag, original side screens were created to be used on stage, welcoming the inspiring variety of special guests. The updates also included introducing the new branding of both ITV and the Daily Mirror. As with our work in 2012, each new element needed to work in context with the general look and feel of the awards ceremony as a whole.
