Capture were commissioned by Shiver to design and create the titles and motion graphics for the ITV1 series 'Mystery Map'. We created a unique hand-drawn map of the U.K, which was then further enhanced with 3D textures, generating the photo-real appearance of the final design. 3D pins were then added, augmenting the realistic feel of the map and detailing the specific locations visited within each episode. Using a variety of high angle shots and sweeping camera movements, we created a sense of movement which flowed into the rest of the show. The bespoke text design was inspired by the use of latitude and longitudinal coordinates retaining the sense of an old-fashioned journey, exploring the mysteries of the British Isles.
