Working directly with debut filmmaker Romola Garai, and our friends at Stigma Films, Capture created a dark identity for the British Independent Film 'AMULET' which debuted at Sundance 2020 and stars Imelda Staunton, Carla Juri, and Alec Secareanu.

Echoing the films' central story themes around eastern european mythological, Catholic secrets and ancient rituals, all coupled with post war anxiety. We were heavily influenced by old Russian typography, and combined that with classic Blackletter to give us hints of Nazi linearage. Centering our designs around the wonderful Perun typeface.

A design final touch was to reverse the end credit roller so it flowed downwards as if into the ground, rather than traditional rising text from bottom to top. Find out more and see some work in progress design work on our instagram
